MADiSON VR Release Delayed Again For Graphical Improvement

Psychological Horror fans in VR around the world have been waiting for MADiSON VR since Halloween 2023 following multiple delays. Just before its scheduled release date on March 29, the developer Bloodious Games and publisher Perp Games announced yet another delay, citing “the need for graphical improvement.”

Just before its scheduled release on PSVR2 and Steam VR, the studio decided to hit a pause for a new Unity SDK. This, as per the studio, would enable MADiSON VR to achieve a native 90Hz refresh rate on PSVR2. This software kit would be a great upgrade from the previously planned 60Hz interpolation mode. “We believe MADiSON VR should be experienced in its most polished form possible, and that means waiting a little longer to ensure a truly smooth and immersive experience,” the studios said.

This is not the first time that the team has opted to delay the release. MADiSON VR has kept its fans waiting for quite a long now. Over the past few months, several dates were promised, but the developers and publishers are committed to delivering the best quality possible, eliminating the risk of any future turbulence.

“Our goal from the beginning has been to create a truly immersive and terrifying atmosphere in MADiSON VR,” a post from the developing teams stated. “Realistic real-time lighting and shadows are crucial to achieving this, but these elements are also very demanding on the CPU.”

Players waiting to interact with the ghost world on an interactive camera have found these continued delays frustrating. However, the studios have acknowledged this frustration and promised to keep the fans posted about all the developments.

There is no exact date for its release, but the prep games, for the meanwhile, have released a trailer to keep the excitement up and give the fans a glimpse into the world of MADiSON VR.
