Survios, in collaboration with 20th-century games, is developing a new, single-player, action-packed horror game set in the alien realm. Alien: Rogue Incursion is the first-of-its-kind game, specially made “for Alien fans by Alien fans.”
Releasing in the holiday season 2024, Alien: Rogue Incursion is coming to Quest 3, PlayStation VR2, and Steam (PC VR). Its absence from Quest Pro and Quest 2 was expected, per the reports moving around for a long time.
The best part for Alien-genre fans is that the game tells an original story. Alien: Rogue Incursion is “truly going to make your skin crawl through the kinetic action and heart-pounding exploration,” says Survios chief product officer TQ Jefferson. It will require the players to survive the horrors of the alien world, and their ultimate mission will be to fight to save their lives when the Xenomorphs attack them.
Survios has been in this business for a long time and has developed fan-favorite games like Creed: Rise to Glory, Battlewake, Electronauts, Raw Data, and Sprint Vector. Survios claims Alien: Rogue Incursion to be “the biggest, most ambitious VR game we have developed in our decade-long history.”
While the trailer does not expose much more than we have already discussed, the atmosphere it aims to create is truly that of an outer space adventure. Although details on the gameplay and the plot are scarce, this partnership looks like something that will be loved by all.
